Autódromo José Carlos Pace, universally known as Interlagos, sits in the Interlagos neighbourhood of São Paulo, Brazil, about 25 kilometres south of the city centre. Named after the Portuguese phrase meaning "between lakes" for its location between two artificial reservoirs, the 4.309 kilometre circuit with 15 corners was inaugurated on 12 May 1940. It was renamed in 1985 to honour Formula 1 driver José Carlos Pace, who died in a plane crash in 1977. The track's designers drew inspiration from Brooklands in the United Kingdom, Roosevelt Raceway in the United States, and Montlhery in France.
Interlagos has hosted the Brazilian Grand Prix since 1973, now called the São Paulo Grand Prix, and holds FIA Grade 1 status. Grandstand B

Grandstand A
Known as the heart of the Brazilian Grand Prix atmosphere, Grandstand A sits at the curve leading to the main straight and pit entry. Though uncovered, it is shaded by trees and offers sweeping views of the infield and main straight. This is a fan favourite for experiencing the passionate crowd energy, and it is one of the more affordable uncovered options with bleacher-style seating.
Grandstand H
Grandstand H provides covered seating at one of the circuit's most coveted spots, with views of the Senna S section and the back straight. This is ideal if you want covered protection while watching overtaking opportunities unfold.
Grandstand D
If you want to see action through the opening corners, Grandstand D is a good option. It places you early in the race sequence, perfect for watching first-lap battles and the way drivers set up their strategies from the start.
Getting to Interlagos
Interlagos is located in the Interlagos neighbourhood, approximately 25 km south of downtown São Paulo. Most international visitors arrive at Guarulhos International Airport (GRU), which is about 40 km from the circuit. Congonhas Airport (CGH) is closer at roughly 10 kilometres north of the circuit, if you have a direct connection there.
Do not attempt to drive on race days. Nearby roads are closed and there is no general public parking at the circuit. Instead, use bus, train, taxi, or rideshare services from central São Paulo. Local residents sometimes rent parking spaces during major events, but relying on public transport is the safest and most reliable option.
